Each tablet is loaded with your client’s discovery and stays with them for the life of the case inside the facility. They search and review the evidence on their own, take notes tied to case files, and come to visits prepared.
No paper means no contraband risk. Drug-soaked paper is one of the most common ways drugs get into jails, and CaseView replaces printed discovery entirely. Clients unlock CaseView with their own unique PIN, so no one else can view their discovery.
New facilities come online regularly. If your client’s jail isn’t approved yet, just ask. When an attorney requests a new facility, we work directly with jail administration to get CaseView approved, and the process is often quicker than you’d expect.

What is a jail discovery tablet?
A secure tablet loaded with a defendant’s discovery that stays with them in custody. CDM’s CaseView Tablet lets pre-trial defendants search and review their evidence and take notes, without paper copies. Each tablet is protected by the defendant’s own unique PIN.
Does CDM work with public defenders and CJA panel attorneys?
Yes. Most of our work is for state public defenders, court-appointed counsel, and CJA panel attorneys. CDM is an approved vendor in multiple states and federal districts and works within your pre-authorization and funding requirements.
How is a CaseView Tablet paid for?
Each tablet is leased to one defendant and billed to that case, which fits public defense and CJA funding and pre-authorization. There are no minimums or long-term commitments. Costs are capped to fit within authorized budgets.
My client’s jail isn’t approved yet. Can they still get a CaseView Tablet?
CDM brings new facilities online at an attorney’s request. Contact us with your client’s facility, and we’ll work directly with jail administration on approval. Jails benefit too: no paper discovery to inspect or store, and fewer attorney visits to manage.
Does CDM redact discovery?
Yes. Redaction is one of our core services. CDM redacts victim and witness personal information and protective order material, and prepares discovery for in-custody review on CaseView Tablets, with quality-control review on every production.
